All businesses that are open on Sunday mornings and are located on or their
patrons will traverse the following roads need to make alternative
arrangements on Sunday August 22.

East Main St.
Eastern Point Blvd.
Farrington Ave.
Atlantic Rd.
Bass Ave.

The Run Gloucester Road Race will be significantly larger than other road
races on Cape Ann. Due to the increased participation and the length of the
course (7 miles), there will be more runners clumped together necessitating
complete road closures. Some will be rolling closures that can last roughly
30 minutes. The first runners will run 4-5 minute miles and the walkers
will make 15-18 miute miles. Some areas will be traversed twice (Western
Ave., Main St.). There will be delays throughout East Gloucester and
Downtown. If the race starts exactly on time, expect the beginning of the
closures at
